Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology

The Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology cooperates with numerous state and federal agencies in conducting research and in providing geologic and resource information. Research results are published as NBMG bulletins, reports, maps, and special publications as well as in federal publications and scientific journals. In addition to addressing the needs for geologic information by conducting research, publishing reports and maps, and creating computer databases, staff members assist the public, industry, and government agencies by answering specific questions regarding Nevada geology and resources and by providing some chemical and mineralogical analyses.

Business Environmental Program

The Business Environmental Program provides free and confidential environmental management assistance to business and government operations in Nevada. The Program specializes in cost effective strategies to reduce hazardous materials and waste generation, conserve water and energy, minimize air emissions, and maintain compliance with environmental requirements. The program provides training, on-site consultation, assistance over the phone and through its website and publications.

Center for Regional Studies

The Center for Regional Studies is an economic development collaborative between the University of Nevada, Reno, College of Business Administration, and the Nevada Small Business Development Center.
The Center serves the State of Nevada with data and market analyses designed to help a business select a location for operations, understand current market trends, and predict where the local economy is headed. Much of our data can be accessed free of charge in the “Free Map and Data Downloads” section, which is constantly being updated with new information. The “Data Menu and Price List” outlines the pricing and availability of some of our custom data and reports that we produce.

UNCE Agriculture Program

This program helps ranchers improve the bottom line! Extension has a history of working with the agricultural community that reaches back to its beginnings in 1914. In the early days, the program guided farmers through the transition from horse-drawn equipment to tractors. Northern Nevada International Center

The NNIC is a sponsored project of the University of Nevada, Reno and its main objective is to foster better understanding between people through its public diplomacy programs, its language and culture projects and its foreign policy forums. The Northern Nevada International Center provides a resource for local residents as well as visitors interested in international activities and events.

Management Assistance Partnership
